PineTone is free, and free to use without an account. These terms are short because there is not much to say.

Using PineTone

You may use PineTone to play, learn and practise, for yourself or with others. Its source is published under the GPL-3.0 licence, which sets out what you may do with the code itself.

Accounts

An account is optional and only for players 13 and over. Keep your Google account secure; whoever can sign in to it can sign in here. Please do not try to reach anyone else's account or to overload the service. An account used to do either may be removed.

Your scores

Scores you import stay yours. By syncing one you let PineTone store it and send it back to you on your other devices, and nothing more. Import only music you have the right to use.

No warranty

PineTone is provided as it is, without any warranty. It is a simulator: it is meant to show how the instrument plays, and it may differ from the physical instrument. Progress and scores are kept with care, but keep a backup of anything you would not want to lose. To the extent the law allows, Mosi Audio is not liable for any loss arising from using it.

Who provides PineTone

PineTone, this simulator, is provided by Mosi Audio, which also makes the PineTone instrument. Pre-orders and anything about the physical instrument are covered by Mosi Audio's own terms of sale, not by these.

Changes and ending

These terms may change, with the date above. You can stop using PineTone at any time and delete your account from Settings. The service may change or stop; if accounts ever stop, you will be able to download your data first.
